Passenger Lift Solutions – Inboard & Cassette Lifts

Elevating the Standard for Inboard Mobility Solutions

At Rowland Emergency, we proudly partner with Passenger Lift Services (PLS) to offer high-performance lift systems that meet the demands of today’s emergency and non-emergency transport environments. Whether you're equipping a stretcher transport unit or a community mobility vehicle, our curated range of inboard and underfloor cassette lifts offers unmatched reliability, safety, and integration flexibility.

PLS EA4 Patient Inboard Lifts

Engineered for easy integration into medical, accessible, and logistics transport vehicles, the EA4 inboard lift is the benchmark for lightweight, high-capacity lift technology.

Compatible with Rear and Side Mounting

Unlike cassette lifts, inboard lifts like the EA4 can be installed on either side or rear doors, offering flexibility across a variety of vehicle builds—including patient transfer vans, WAVs, and custom Ford Transit or Ford 350 builds.

Key Benefits:

  • Lightweight, fuel-efficient design
  • Silent stow and smooth, quiet operation
  • Intuitive handset controls for ease of use
  • Safe Working Load (SWL): 400 – 500 kg
  • Platform sizes from 1300–1610 mm length and 745–915 mm width
  • Multiple platform styles: Solid, Folding, Split
  • Rear and side-door configurations
  • 2-Year no-fuss warranty, 24-month parts warranty (international)

Customizable Options:

  • Manual emergency release
  • DoorSafe barrier arm
  • LED hazard lighting
  • Wireless handset control
  • Variety of handrail styles and grip colours

Integration Note: The EA4 is the ideal choice for operators requiring flexibility in installation and robust support for both side and rear vehicle entry.

Access Lite Outboard Lift (Cassette)

The Access Lift is the go-to choice when preserving interior space is essential. With an underfloor cassette-style design, it’s particularly well-suited for rear-entry van conversions where interior load space must remain unobstructed.

Important Note: Cassette lifts like the Access Lift are almost exclusively used in rear van installations. While some very large vehicles like trailers and coaches can accommodate side-mounted cassette lifts, these configurations are uncommon and require specific vehicle types. Although thin-profile side cassette lifts exist, they are generally considered less reliable and not recommended for professional medical or paratransit use.

Key Benefits:

  • Underfloor mounting preserves cabin space
  • Easy two-button handset operation
  • Designed for all-weather durability
  • Safe Working Load (SWL): 400 – 500 kg
  • Platform sizes: 1410–1780 mm length and 825–925 mm width
  • Made in the UK, with strong after-sales support

Built for Harsh Conditions:

  • Trusted in extreme environments—from the wettest English autumns to the coldest Canadian winters
  • Proven weather resistance and operational reliability
