Brian Gibson has been officially appointed as the chief and director of Peel Regional Paramedic Services, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career. The announcement, made on Tuesday, follows his commendable tenure as deputy chief from 2014 until 2023, during which he was appointed acting chief.

Gibson's new role will involve spearheading strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of care provided to the community. His responsibilities will encompass overseeing pre-hospital emergency response, community safety and relations, and the innovative community paramedicine programs.
“Chief Gibson will lead strategic direction in providing the community with the highest quality of care through the delivery of various programs,” stated Peel Region in a press release. His leadership is anticipated to significantly impact the efficacy and outreach of paramedic services within the region.
